The Tinui School Committee met last evening, the Rev. A. J. Stewart presiding in the absence of the chairman, Mr W. Laing.
Reports were received on improvements to the school building and shelter shed. The teacher reported that the newly-acquired radio was giving satisfaction and on her suggestion it was resolved to purchase two small weaving looms for senior art work.
The Wellington Education Board, it was stated, had not yet replied to the committee's suggestion that the present dilapidated school house should be rebuilt on another site.
Plans were made for a school concert to be held on September 24.
